Love watching this David
Thanks
Well done Poppy!
Brilliant David xx
Thank you
Awesome ❤️
well done Remy
Ahhh sunshine....hope you and the newfies are well 👍😀
Many thanks. All well and looking forward to water work in the Spring
You are amazing to watch with your dogs! So much love and devotion.
Thank you
The most lovely video I have watched in ages with the most wonderful dogs. So much goes into training but the rewards are immense and you feel so proud when people comment how fantastic your dogs are. Sad too as it reminds me of my fury friends no longer with me. I hope you still engage with carting and your dogs are well. Best wishes from Scotland. You should post more videos. Thanks for this one.
Couldn't agree more!
😂
This is great - I didn't know you made videos David. They just popped up randomly on my YT timeline.
Thanks so much. I have made quite a number, several of competitions for dancing and some serious stuff on water rescue work.
Lovely to see this, David.
This is my youngster. She is learning moves from her mum, Remy. You might want to check out on Blue's routines - he was a national winner of water rescue completions .
Newfs have short lifespans. I know none of these dogs are still around. I still wish we could've heard them barking and playing with that toy instead of having to listen to the Sound of Music over the video. I am so triggered that these dogs are sitting in mud.
Given a choice these dogs will roll in mud. They have two acres of garden to pay in and a further 30 acres of field, plus weekly visits to a lake. Blue in the video is still alive aged 14 and active, although he suffered from severe burns when our house was destroyed by fire. See vid of Blue .ua-cam.com/video/MtvdfdSNEqI/v-deo.html
Great Job Monty *
Thanks
Beautiful dogs, beautiful.
Thank you
So Beautiful *
Thank you
Looks just like mine as a pup but he's turned out dark brown not light brown
I was expecting this to be more related to training. It is so much more. It is the genius and progress of training, the nobility of these black lions, and the human experience of relief we all share from our instinctive drive to preserve life, whether our own or those of others. Beautifully done. The music completes it. Thank you for sharing this. Brought tears as each facet was developed.
Many thanks. There are many videos here on my channel of their work in water rescue.
@@DavidLamb123 Thank you. I wasn't aware of that specific training. I have spent so much time on the water that I was deeply moved, as I said. I was once a lifeguard, and as a child I nearly drowned. I cannot tell you, as a lover of dogs, too, how much this moved me. Again, thanks for this, and for the work. What a glorious sight to a drowning person to see the advance of a black lion working his/her way to save their life. Gentle, black aquatic lions.
@@TheStudioSusan
@@TheStudioSusan Thanks again. The dogs are taught to circle the drowning victim and will return to the shore once the victim holds the harness. But if the victim is unconscious the dog will hold the wrist and tow back to shore. If the victim is likely to panic then a human will swim out with the dog, restrain the victim with one hand and hold the dog with the other. This happened once when my dogs were working with some soldiers and one panicked.
@@DavidLamb123 David, the only thing more amazing than these marvelous, kind dogs is their training. I wonder sometimes what goes through Abraham's mind when he leans on me as my guardian. (I have Lyme's disease. As I woke recently, I dreamed he laid his head on me to reassure me that he was there.) He's a giant black Schnauzer. His DNA contains the instincts of a shepherd. How your wonderful black lions can "know" is equally amazing to me and that you know how to understand them and communicate with them so clearly. Again....... so touched re: the soldiers.
How lovely to see.
Just so cute
Nice to see your newfies doing some work 😂
ah heck happ thamksgibing frens
And the very best to you
Hello David not uploaded in a while hope you and the newfies are well!
Just added a collection of fun pictures of my dogs, about an hour ago. Bur not added much lately. However, quite a few on the way.
Hi David, how much would it cost for this breed of dog?
I sent an answer. Hope you saw it. Security problems here. Best wishes

Brilliant David, hope you are keeping well
Thanks Terry. Keeping well and very busy
Glad you saw this. I was never a dancer, but you mum was brilliant and I think of her. Keep in touch.
@@DavidLamb123 I loved it, yes my mum loved dancing, she loved music
Blue is a beautiful dog. Is he 12 years old now?
Yes. He is 12. Two years since he survived the fire which destroyed our house. See his marvellous recovery. ua-cam.com/video/MtvdfdSNEqI/v-deo.html
ah heck. sounds like you used the final fantasy soundtrack for this. 18,000/10 hooman keep it pup! 💚💛❤️
Hey, thanks
Heartwarming! Our Grand-dog has a NEWF inside always bursting to get out. We see it in his eyes and feel it in his devotion.
Yes unmistakable
Can get mine to retrieve but carting would be a looney tunes cartoon 😄
" dog is love. it could just be a spelling mistake " ~ Sadhguru
Lovely vid, my newf swims without a life jacket no problems yet would you still advise using one?
Many thanks for your comment. I personally think they are OK without life jackets. My young girl, Remy, in the vid does not have one. I only use them on the old dogs - in the vid these two are 12 years old - as I am worried in case they need help. Otherwise I prefer to be without the jackets.
@@DavidLamb123 Thanks, mine is 3 years old and was chasing ducks out into a small lake and when coming back in I could hear his heavy breathing, which made me think he was struggling but they do have such massive lung capacity. I'd love to get him with yours he needs some friends his size.
brilliant, I have a newfie too. She would only do this for treats :-)
Yes, begin with treats, use them to lure the dog. Later fade them out but don't be in a hurry to dispense with the treats. That is a mistake many people make. Good luck
Wow! love your method <3 15/10 hooman keep it pup!
Thanks ever so much. Best regards
Woof woof! Woof! (Perish the man whose mind is backward now!)
Ha ha. Thanks
Love your dog videos❣
Thank you
I expect I'm in the minority, but I cannot see what there is to gain in spending the mega bucks to go to Mars, So what if there WAS life so many billions of years ago, it's not there now, and there are people and projects that could put the money to better use.
Thanks Arlene, You are not in the minority

Thank you
Yes great music. Glad to see the dogs all recovered from the fire and not afraid of the bonfire.
Thank you
Monty playing the chimes is great :D My newfie has been getting red rashes with occasional bits of dry skin in random areas, spraying hibiscrub on it as well as rubbing raw aloe vera seems to work in alleviating it but I wish I knew what caused them. Do you get this as well on yours could it be an allergic reaction to something or being hot inside the house perhaps vet didn't seem to have an answer.
Thanks for the comment. As for the rash keep in touch with the vet. Not too much hibiscrub but allow air to reach sore parts. Cut around infected area. But keep in touch with you vet. Best wishes.
@@DavidLamb123 Hi thanks for replying, its cleared up alot now after spraying on hibiscrub and i've rubbed aloe vera in twice. I suspect its either allergy or heat from central heating.
@@RumPirate good to hear this. You seem to be on top of the problem
Great stuff so sweet seeing him pull in the other dog on the inflatable, hopefully going in the sea with mine tomorrow if not too busy
Good news. Make the most of the fine weather
Lovely, have 2 yr old brown newfie myself
Thank you. I love the brown's. My boy Monty is a brown. Best wishes
@@DavidLamb123had black one 10 years ago why we chose a brown, so far only trained him in recall, sit and stay. See alot of dogs where I live on coast here but only ever seen 1 other newf twice, such a shame must be the size, grooming, slobber etc puts people off. Was great to see a brown one win crufts working group in 2018 btw.
